Yep boys, its that time. The Legacy Game of Skate is coming up. Will it be the last one? Only time will tell. I’m linking a link of a PROPER game of skate. Just to keep you guys in check!

The Kennesaw skatepark is finally in the works! Cant wait til its done! Big thanks to everyone who is making it happen! We at Ambush are hyped!

I wanted to give a big thanks to Travis Glover and RB Umali over at Zoo York for hooking me up with a lens for my Canon 60d! That should be in sometime  this week. So look forward to see photos/video of Travis and all the other Ambush team riders!

It seems the Ambig video Modern Art is done! Can’t wait for it to be sick! Hopefully our very own Trey Abad (a.k.a. Catnip) made the cut! We will find out soon! Read More >

Mazza Mondays: SEC3 or DIE

What’s up? Sunday funday the boys and I headed over to 4th Ward Skatepark in Atlanta, GA for the annual Jay Buck Jam. Jay was a good friend to all the legends in Atlanta who unfortunately is not with us anymore. So, we have a day where we skate our ass off just for him. We ate some good food, talked with some good people and enjoyed the high ollie contest in which Catnip is the man and flew way high in the air to victory. He got a pretty sweet custom piece of a deck, a good ol’ 6 pack of talls, and a warm welcome by Jeremiah Babb to the Bender Hardware family.

“…I’ve known this dude for a long time. Always thought,
“Catnip?! What the fuck kinda name is that?” His friends
laughed at me and no one has ever told me a straight
answer. Doesn’t matter though. Kid destroys! You’d
never guess all the power that comes out of that quiet,
short kid. 70″ ollie off the 16″ kicker at the Jay Buck Jam.
Skateboarding man. This kid loves it. The times, they
are a changing…Bender is down for him…”

Mazza Mondays: Last Weekend

Last weekend. Good skating, good times. On the scene this weekend we had the Nashville homies, Baker AM Dee Ostrander, Shane Powell, Ivan Hernandez and Cameron Zjveninkieiskes (Can’t spell his last name. Sorry, Cameron) hung out at the shop for a bit then took it to the city for some good skating. Catnip (recently getting hooked up with Think Skateboards) on the scene as well as injured JPSystem there for the support. We had a good successful weekend. All together we got 1 clip! Good weekend I must say.

Lee gave me a set of 52mm sample Ambush wheels to try out. Over the weekend I put them to the test. I must say these new wheels are so much better then the old ones. Whatever formula was used on the old wheels sucked. They worked fine in the streets, but whenever you hit slick terrain your going to slide into death. I took these samples to the streets, cement parks, wooden parks and they were awesome everywhere. Read More >

Ambush Demo @ Found Skatepark

Friday August 31st the Ambush team headed up north to Found Skatepark to show off the goods and give away some goodies. This was the first time up there for most of us and I have to say that the park is pretty damn sweet. The guys over at Found made good use of a smaller sized space and the park flows like butter. I know the Found is pretty far from home for you local Ambush dudes, but we saw a few familiar faces up there (which is awesome) and met a whole bunch of new rad kids as well. Hopefully, this video will hype some of you to drive up to Ellijay and give it a whirl.

Big thanks to Mike and the whole Found crew for having us, and an even bigger thanks to all the kids and families who showed up in support. Hope you guys had as much fun as we did! Read More >

Park Barge 2012

Obviously there is a ton of people in Kennesaw that skate. We wouldn’t be here without them.  Unfortunately, there really isn’t much around here to skate.  So, we were all talking one day and decided, “Hey, lets pick a few skate rats, throw em in the van, and take them out skating with the team all day.”  So, on June 1st we made it happen.

The homies at Neff to kicked down some goodies for the winners, we loaded up the van with snacks and seats, dragged the team out of bed early, picked 8 dudes to come along for the ride, and hit the road.

Our goal was to warm up at Brook Run Skatepark in Dunwoody, then head towards Gwinnett to check out all their parks.
