2017 March Radness Presented by Adidas Skateboarding

March is made for Cinderella stories. Every tournament needs an underdog that comes out of nowhere, surpasses expectations, and makes history with an unlikely victory. We’re not talking about March Madness, we are talking about March Radness.

This year’s Cinderella was our very own Wes Lembo. March Radness was stacked with elite skateboarders from all over the southeast like Jason Salillas, Alec Spinosi, and Jake Wooten as well as local rippers Niko Howard, Troy Cobucci, Nick Hagley, Gage Gum, Tommy Stephan and many more. All pushed their skateboarding to the limits and left it all out there on the skatepark (a few left even more in the parking lot). The Street Division was an epic battle, but the universe was on Wes’ side. Read More >

Format and Away Days Premieres

Video premiere season is upon us! Summertime doesn’t just mean great weather and short-shorts, and just to be clear, I’m not talking about chubbers (don’t worry Garrett you get a free pass). I’m talking about foxy chicks with nice legs. No summertime means that people put out full length videos that they’ve been busting their asses for. Over this past weekend we got to see two videos in two nights.

Ambush Format and Away Days Premieres

Friday night was a local video called “Format”, which was filmed by Carver Weeks and Austin Sneed. It featured parts from Will Gatewood, Ryan Gatewood, Dylan Stuckman, Solomon Mosley, Anthony Morales and Ben Hayes. Its always fun going to a local video premiere because you get to see people you don’t get to usually hang out with on a regular basis. Everyone is typically in a great mood and ready to party! Oh and did I mention that the premiere was at a bar in East Atlanta called the Graveyard? Cheap drinks and pool will always spice up the night of a vid, that is if you can get a turn on the pool table. Anyways, Format was great, hugs were given, beer was spilled and bad decisions were most likely made. Looking forward to the next local video to come out! Read More >

Adidas Skate Copa Southeast Regionals

Have you ever been to a skateboard contest hosted by Adidas and The Boardr?  I hadn’t either until last weekend.  If you ever get the chance, I would advise you to go.  The Adidas Skate Copa Southeast Regional contest was held at the Kennesaw skatepark on Saturday, May 31st.  Skate Copa is a regional shop versus shop contest, where a four man team from each of the 17 invited shops get a 5 minute jam style run to showcase their bag of tricks in front of a panel of 3 judges.  The shops team members are scored individually, and the top 3 scores from the team are factored in to the shops overall score.  From there, the top 8 shops move on to the semi-finals where they battle head to head in a single elimination bracket format.  The winning shop gets an all expense paid trip to Los Angeles for the Skate Copa finals, where they will battle it out against the other 4 regional champions at The Berrics. Josh Butler Benefit Game of Skate

Josh Butler is family. Ever need a friend, Josh is there to oblige. Looking for a good time, Josh is your man. Need someone to talk to, Josh will listen. Josh has all of the characteristics you would want in a brother, friend, team rider, son, and even your daughter’s boyfriend. So, when Josh desperately needs your help, you better give it your all.

For those of you that don’t know, Josh Butler was shot in the abdomen during a robbery last year. He has made a full recovery, but his medical bills are devastating. And although Josh would never ask for our help, we know how truly deserving and thankful for the help he would be.

The Josh Butler Benefit Game of Skate raised over $2,000 for the Josh Butler Medical Fund. And, it was a super good time. Special thanks to all of you that came out to support. Your participation went a long way towards helping Josh get his life back to normal. Read More >
